Starting tomorrow afternoon, I will be on vacation for a week. I've been making pants like crazy this week so that my list won't be so long when I get back. I did squeeze in this one new thing because I've been wanting to try it for a while. I always try to have at least 2 tops for each pair of pants I make for my daughter. I'll be offering this outfit when I get back with this shirt or an appliqued shirt...maybe an owl:) Have a great week!
Don't forget you can order Knit Dresses or Rompers through Saturday.

New TOP - Harlowe
I saw the pattern for the Harlowe Top at the end of LAST summer and could not wait to make it. As I'm gearing up to sew for spring and summer, I thought it was the perfect time to try it.....especially when I found this fabric:)
It's back to late nights of sewing at my house as I keep finding new patterns to try! I LOVE sewing! If you even think you "might" want to sew...GIVE IT A TRY!!! I bet you'll love it!

COST: $17.00
Sizes: 18/24mo, 2T, 3T, 4T, and 5T

Christmas for her Birthday
My best friend's daughter turns 4 next week. We went to visit my family this weekend (and meet my brother's twin boys) and I got to visit with my friend and her family....so I gave N her gift a little early. How CUTE is this!?!? My friend commented on liking this fabric and I've been wanting to try using this ricrac ribbon. I actually think I'll make one for EmK so we can get their picture together;)
Happy Weekend!

Knot Top
I have always loved this snowman fabric. I actually bought it last year and made EmK some pants. It was around the time I really started sewing a lot for my daughter and I ended up with cute pants that were TOO short:( So when I happened to spot this again, I had to pick it up. Too bad she can't wear snowmen until December....
If the pants look familiar that's because they are. I'm learning to stretch EmK's clothing by pairing several tops/shirts with each pair of pants I make.

...and here's our last pair of gingham pants paired with a coordinating top. I'm sure these brown pants will be so cute with a turkey applique:) and maybe down the road I'll find some pink fabric to go with them as well. The coloring on my photo seems a bit off...in person the browns are the same color.

Addison Top
Thought I would post a few pictures of two tops I just finished. The "Addison Top" has two button holes on the back yoke. The straps go over the shoulder and tie in a bow on the back.
I've been looking at this elephant fabric for a while and when I saw two-sided polka dot ribbon while fabric shopping a couple of weeks ago, I knew I had use it in my next sewing project. Then I remembered the elephant fabric, ordered it online, and crossed my fingers that the colors would be the same...and as luck would have it they matched perfectly:) This fabric also comes in a blue/green combo and in giraffes.

GAMEDAY
Here are a few things I just finished for kids to wear during football season!
The first two are for the same little girl. Her mom is an Auburn fan (war eagle) and her dad is an Alabama fan. I can relate to this family A LOT:) I have to admit that I love BOTH outfits...and my husband really LOVES the second one!! I made white bloomers for A to wear with both tops.
The elephant appliques were done by Stacey.

A New Top
Emily Kathryn has this cute outfit and I wanted to "duplicate" it even though there's no pattern to purchase. Up until now, I've really been all about a pattern. I don't like having to think about what the length should be or taking tons of measurements on my child who doesn't like to sit still:)
Overall, I think it turned out really cute and I'd definitely make it again!! EmK's closet is pretty full with summer stuff, but this is a definite for next year. The hard part about being able to sew is that I get tempted to buy for Emily Kathryn when I have to go get fabric for other people:)
